Binding vs. Non-Binding
It's also important to learn the difference between a binding and a non-binding estimate.
As the name implies, a non-binding estimate is not a guaranteed price, and the final invoice can be very different from the estimate. A binding estimate, however, is a guarantee that you'll pay the price quoted even if the weight of the shipment varies from what's on the estimate.
